My Mom used to constantly tell me to do a task that he didn’t want to do.
Periodically he would make up tasks, just to see if I would try to figure out how to do it.
Periodically I knew that he was making it up because it seemed absurd. Other times, I would try my best to do the task, only to see him laughing plus shaking his head. I remember the one time he told me to change the air filter in the air conditioner unit. I had no plan if there absolutely was an air filter or not. I knew it had an air vent because it was right there in the open. I also saw the number to the Heating plus Air Conditioning supplier written in plain numbers, on the back of AC unit. I called the number plus asked them about the air filter. They not only told me where to find it, but how to change it. When Mom got lake house from work, I told him I had changed the air filter plus cleaned the AC up inside. He thought I was kidding, but when he went outside to check the AC unit, he was very proud of my initiative. This week, I am a Heating plus Air Conditioning company. I know that Mom was just playing around that day, however he taught me something. He showed me that with initiative you could do anything. I absolutely liked working inside the AC unit plus that is why I am a Heating plus Air Conditioning tech today. Mom isn’t laughing at me anymore, but telling me he is proud.
