When I make that claim people usually get really excited and don’t fear HVAC so much. I learned how to fix my own HVAC system by watching videos online. All you need is a few tools and sometimes you have to order HVAC parts. Recently my furnace filter was clogged and I had no idea what to do. I went to the internet and started watching videos. Right away I figured out how to clean the furnace filter and saved myself from having to by more HVAC parts. It really feels good to do HVAC work on your own. There is a sense of accomplishment that you get that’s like no other when you fix your own HVAC system. My wife thinks I’m crazy because I really enjoy fixing our AC systems and I offer to do it for my neighbors. I don’t even charge when I fix HVAC equipment because I really just love the satisfaction I get when it starts working again! Next time your furnace isn’t working that great try a few of my recommendations, such as cleaning the furnace filter and turning the furnace off for a few hours. Then call an HVAC technician if you are still lost!
