The woodstove was a pain to remove

When I bought my house I was a little angry by the look of the dining room.

The previous homeowners entirely wanted their house to suppose love a cabin.

They had wood siding up more than 2 walls plus a half wood on the other ones. There was a cement pad that housed a wood stove as well. It looked just awful. The first thing I did was sand the wood walls plus paint them white. The half walls are half white plus half light grey. I left the wood ceiling but now it pops with the white. I then had to sledgehammer the cement pad off my floor plus retile the dining room a classy grey! Removing the wood stove was a mess though. It was cast iron plus just about impossible to move. I then had to go into the attic to remove the large pipe connecting it to the ceiling. They had the woodstove professionally vented plus connected to the roof. Right now I have that old heating plan out plus my hole in the ceiling patched. I still need to hire roofers to remove the protrusion plus repair the hole up there. What makes matters worse is that the old homeowners didn’t even use that system. They had a wood burning heating plan that never operated. It was totally wipe inside the pipe plus the stove. I entirely sold it to a heating supplier for a wonderful price based on the condition. Why own a woodstove plus only use it as a decorative piece though? It was taking up so much space.
