A call came in last month from a client who seemed really worried.
They started out by telling us that they had inherited a house in our location plus were flying in the next afternoon to check it out.
They had seen images online of it however had never seen it in the flesh. All we knew ahead of time was that it was a Tuscan Style house plus that it had been vacant for nearly half a year. We have done Tuscany Styles before plus knew that it was a challenge. Often time we need to take into considerations the heavy frames, filled up rooms, plus ornate items that our patrons don’t want removed from the house. This limits what we can do with a section plus our, image does not exactly match that of our patrons. We met at the house plus it was pretty much what we had expected. The client, however, was not. We thought that we would hear all about the preservation of the design plus instead they wanted it completely changed from the design. They wanted an open concept, clean lines, plus a neutral color pallet. We tried to explain things like cost, integrity of the structure, plus overall look of the themed house however they were not willing to listen to any of that. They are from a town up North plus live in one of those apartments so they are used to new decor. I have to admit I was a bit worried that they wanted to destroy this home.
