The owner told me that an escaped gorilla destroyed his A/C unit.

Being president of the local homeowner’s Association, I hear a lot of reasons for damaging things done to the neighborhood properties. Last month I visited a single homeowner that I live the closest to. His air conditioning system devices seemed to have been picked up, thrown across the yard, stomped on, before being put it back by the house. I didn’t guess what could have happened to the air conditioning system unit, however I was ‌very concerned. My visit to them had nothing to do with my being president of the HOA, however simply as a distraught neighbor. The guy was visibly angry when I approached him. He did not even see me as a neighbor, however only as the HOA president. I told him I wasn’t there to make any trouble, however just to see if everything was cool. I had observed his disfigured air conditioning system device and wondered what was happening. He laughed, however I could tell it was a laugh of frustration. He told me I would never believe it, and he was right. He told me that an escaped gorilla had come on his property and destroyed the air conditioning system unit. I almost laughed until he showed me the newspaper clipping. They were transferring some ‌creatures from the zoo to a wildlife rehab. One gorilla had gotten away, and somehow it made its way to this property. Whether it was the noise of the a/c that aggravated the enraged gorilla, or something else, but he attacked the air conditioning system unit. After tearing it out of its confines, he threw it across the yard, then put it back where it belonged, even as I see it in black-and-white, I had a hard time believing the story.
