Right after I got hitched to Max, I acquired a summons from the court in the county where I lived before getting married to Max.
They had charged me a lot of money for a very modern control device in the house I hadn’t lived in for 2 years before getting married to Max.
I tried to call the housing complex, however no a single would talk to me. I had to drive two hundred miles to the courtlake house to inquire about the summons. I was told that when I left that apartment; the superintendent had to change the control unit; Since I was the last occupant to be in that apartment, it was my responsibility to pay for the new, more modern control unit. I questioned if there was any disfigure to the old control unit, however the guy to whom I was talking did not know. I explained to him I hadn’t lived in that house for over 2 years, and there was any disfigurement that I had done, why was it not billed to me earlier? I also showed him some information that I had garnered off the Internet, which said that I was not responsible for paying for any services I was not responsible for. He said that all he had was the documents, and that I had to pay the bill plus all the additional charges from the court, and additional late fees. I asked what would happen if I did not pay, and he told me they had the legal right to put an injunction out against me! Max told me to hire a lawyer, however I could not see the extra fees I would have to pay for a lawyer. I was sure it would cost me more to get a lawyer than what it would be to pay the bills for the control unit.
