The house was ruined, however the furnace was still ok

Everyone in our area knows what would happen when Bob and I have a lot of rain.

The creek is the first to overflow its banks, plus then the rivers.

The local creek which runs behind our condo is regularly overflowing, however it has never gone much further than about 10 or 12 feet from our condo If the flooding is awful enough, plus the river river, Bob and I can be in for a lot of trouble, however last month, the river came up so abruptly that Bob and I didn’t have time to prepare. One minute the creek was covering half of our yard, plus within just a few minutes, the water was surrounding our house. Both of us got out of the beach house plus far away from it just in time to watch the water enter the house. Bob and I knew it didn’t look nice when the people I was with and I saw pieces of the bridge that crossed over the creek about a mile down the road, floating through our yard. A month later, Bob and I were heading back to our house. Both of us didn’t expect what Bob and I saw. Both of us knew there was a lot of water surrounding it. Since there was so much water in the house, the people I was with and I would have mud plus debris everywhere. Bob didn’t expect to see our beach house off its foundation, plus everything destroyed. When our condo was demolished, someone made the comment that our ancient furnace could still be good. I do not guess if they actually thought Bob and I would grab the furnace plus put it on our truck plus drive away, or if Bob and I were going to leave it behind for someone else to take. All I knew is that if there was enough flood damage to take our beach house off the foundation, neither the furnace nor the air conditioning unit would be worth salvaging.
