I swore Max was going to be raised so he could live a nice life with as much independence as was possible.
I had read that people with mental disabilities often display very special traits. I grew up with a guy who was autistic and he had an ability to paint and draw. He memorized films and shows and could replay them simply by closing his eyes. He took people’s names and drew caricatures of the people that had something to do with their names. When Max was only six, he picked up the booklet that came with our modern air conditioning system unit. All of us thought Max was just looking at the words, but he was studying them. Not only was Max able to read the entire booklet that came with the air conditioning system unit, but Max knew what he read. From the time he was 10 years old, Max was doing all the repairs on our air conditioning system unit. All of us started showing Max the booklets that came with the gas furnace only bought a modern single. Max completely understood the schematics, and it was love just looking at it had it set in his mind. All of us knew we had to send him to Heating, Ventilation, and A/C school. That was almost 10 years ago, and our child is now a single of the top Heating, Ventilation, and A/C service techs in his corporation. It shocked all the people that Max could go to Heating, Ventilation, and A/C technical school and pass all the tests, achieve certification and end up in a well-known Heating, Ventilation, and A/C corporation. Max told his Mom and me not to worry. He would still fix our air conditioning system and heating whenever I needed it done.
