My a/c component isn’t old enough to be updated, but it’s also not young enough to cool my house with ease, and every summer, I notice a spike in our energy consumption due to our Heating and Air Conditioning system, however it’s nothing to be alarmed about, but it does make me think twice about how I cool my house while I was in the summer.
The summer time heat can be awful where I live and the humidity levels are intense.
Pair the heat and humidity together and it makes for a difficult job for our a/c unit. I spoke with our Heating and Air Conditioning corporation about the state of our AC proposal and he advised me to try a few things. One, I needed to update our air filters officially and have our Heating and Air Conditioning proposal diagnosed at least twice per year. This would ensure that our a/c component ran as efficiently as possible! Next, he suggested something unexpected, but he told me to consider a ductless mini split proposal in our kitchen because it would take the stress off of our a/c unit. Of course, there were other alternatives like a portable fan or a window AC unit, but the ductless proposal was a cost effective way to cool my kitchen at night without relying on my a/c component to do all the work. I’m still thinking about what he told me and trying to consider how beneficial it would be to me, but it sounds like a good option. Even if I don’t do the ductless system, I need to consider something else.
