My cooling system isn’t old enough to be replaced, but it’s also not young enough to cool my house with ease. Every summer, I notice a spike in my energy consumption due to my Heating and Air Conditioning system, then it’s nothing to be alarmed about, but it does make me think twice about how I cool my house while we were in the summer, and the summer heat can be bad where I live and the humidity levels are intense, however pair the heat and humidity together and it makes for a difficult job for my cooling system. I spoke with my Heating and Air Conditioning worker about the state of my AC method and he requested I try a few things, one, I needed to replace my air filters officially and have my Heating and Air Conditioning system inspected at least twice per year. This would ensure that my cooling system ran as efficiently as possible! Next, he recommended something unexpected, he told me to consider a ductless mini split method in my family room because it would take the stress off of my cooling system. Of course, there were other alternatives like a portable fan or a window AC unit, but the ductless system was a cost effective way to cool my family room while we were in the evenings without relying on my cooling system to do all the work. I’m still thinking about what he told me and trying to consider how beneficial it would be to me, but it sounds like a fantastic option. Even if I don’t do the ductless system, I need to consider something else.
