Air conditioner provides relief

My a/c isn’t old enough to be updated, but it’s also not young enough to cool my home with ease.

Every Summer, I notice a spike in my energy consumption due to my HVAC system.

It’s nothing to be alarmed about, but it does make me think twice about how I cool my home during the Summer. The Summer heat can be disappointing where I live and the humidity levels are intense, but pair the heat and humidity together and it makes for hard work for my a/c. I spoke with my HVAC professional about the state of my A/C method and he recommended I try a few things, and one, I needed to update my air filters officially and have my HVAC method run tests at least twice per year. This would ensure that my a/c ran as efficiently as possible, then next, he advised something unexpected, but he told me to consider a ductless mini split unit in my dining room because it would take the stress off of my a/c. Of course, there were other alternatives like a portable fan or a window A/C unit, but the ductless method was a cost effective way to cool my dining room during the evenings without relying on my a/c to do all the work. I’m still thinking about what he told me and trying to consider how beneficial it would be to me, but it sounds like a wonderful option. Even if I don’t do the ductless system, I need to consider something else.
