I really don’t understand it, but for some reason our neighbors always seem to be jealous of us.
The most recent thing that they have been doing is copying anything that we do at our house.
I remember back when I was a kid, I would get mad at my sister for copying me. Back then, my grandma told me that copying is a form of flattery. She said that the only reason that my little sister was copying me was because she wanted to be like me. I’ve always remembered that, and now I guess I’m applying it to our next door neighbors. Even though I know that the reason that they are copying us is probably because they admire us and want to be like us, I still find it to be annoying. Last week, we had a new heating and cooling system installed in our house and our neighbors wanted to know all about it. They came over the minute they saw the HVAC van in our driveway and they started asking questions. One of the HVAC technicians actually got annoyed because the neighbors wouldn’t stop trying to talk to them as they were getting all of their equipment out of the HVAC van. He finally told our neighbors that he had a job to do and that they could call the HVAC company if they really wanted to ask a bunch of questions. I couldn’t help but laugh, because I know they just wanted to know all about our new heating and cooling system so that they could get one just like it.
