My husband really loves his job as an HVAC technician.
- I’m really glad that he does, too, because I would hate to be around someone all the time who hated their job.
Hating your job tends to just make you miserable, and I would never want that for him. As it is, he really enjoys getting up for work in the morning, and he’s usually in a good mood when he gets home at the end of the day. He really likes going and installing heating and cooling systems for people, and that is his main job. Of course, once in a while, he has to do maintenance work and repair work on HVAC systems, but his bosses at the office know that he is really great and quick at doing installation jobs. That’s why they usually end up scheduling him to do most of the installation work that has to be done at the HVAC company. His co-workers know that he’s the right one for that particular kind of job and so no one really signs up to do the installation jobs as long as my husband is available. Sometimes I think that they should think about training some of the other HVAC technicians on installations, but my husband says that they all already know how to do it. It’s just a matter of convenience for everyone if he does the heating and cooling system installations while they go out and handle all of the other HVAC repairs and maintenance work for the company. I guess they have the whole division of labor pretty well figured out.
