For nearly fifteen years now, I’ve been married to my husband who works as an HVAC technician at an HVAC business here in town.
It’s been a lot of years, and for the most part, the time has gone by really quickly.
It’s fun being married to an HVAC technician most of the time, too. He always comes home with all kinds of weird and funny stories that he gets from working at clients’ homes and businesses all over town. Sometimes he has some really crazy things that happen to him and it’s fun to hear about them. One of the funniest things that happened to him last year was when this lady hired the HVAC company to do an air conditioning installation for her. It was in her really old house and she bought a brand new central air conditioning system because she thought that the A/C wasn’t working correctly. Initially, she thought that she needed a completely new air conditioning system because of that, but it turned out that the old air conditioning system worked just fine. Whenever my husband went to the house to install the new one for her, he found a giant teddy bear shoved down into the air conditioning duct in the living room of the house. The whole reason that the air conditioning wasn’t cooling the house off was because the air conditioning couldn’t get through the ductwork! My husband pulled the bear out of the ductwork and then the old air conditioning system worked just fine. He still laughs about that job to this day.
