My brother recently came to stay with me for a while.
The poor guy had fallen on hard times as his wife had just recently left him and kicked him out of the house.
I had never really approved of their relationship, but I never said anything because he was happy with her at the time and I hoped they could make it work despite their differences. I am the only one that lives close to my brother, everyone else in our family lives out of state. So when he called me this morning explaining that he and his wife had a major fight and she kicked him out of the house and into the cold, he asked if he could stay with me for awhile because she was demanding a divorce. I happily welcomed him and wanted to do something nice for him since he was having such a hard time. I knew my brother had always had very specific temperature preferences and so I made a trip down to my local heating and a/c business and purchased a zone controlled HVAC system. I had a heating and air conditioning professional come out to my home to perform the installation. With the zone controlled heating and cooling system, I would be able to use the thermostat to control the temperatures separately of all the different rooms in the house. I got my brother set up nice and comfortable in my guest room and surprised him with the zone controlled HVAC system. He was so happy he could have his own temperature preferences, it was something his wife had never let him do and I knew he would enjoy his stay here until he could get back on his feet.
