After enduring a long work week, I was really looking forward to having a fun weekend with some friends of mine.
I had a really nice gaming rig set up in my house and we had all agreed that we would meet up for the weekend for some competitive gaming.
I had multiple computers, some snacks, and a really nice ductless mini split air conditioner that I used to keep the room at just the right temperature for relaxing. It was Saturday and that night all of my friends arrived and we went straight at it. We had been playing games for several hours and my friends commented on how nice the indoor air quality was and they were really enjoying the cool air that was coming out of my little air conditioner. Everything was going well until suddenly the cold air stopped coming and we all started to sweat as the temperature in the room started to rise. We all kind of looked around to figure out what was going on, and I discovered that the air conditioning unit had stopped working. I had to bring out the fan to continue to cool the room. The broken a/c didn’t stop our fun, and we continued well into the morning before we all crashed. Later that day, I did some online research about HVAC units and tried to learn all I could about ductless mini split a/cs. After some inspection, I discovered that it was just clogged from some dirt and after it was cleaned it started working again.
