I wasn’t excited about living in a small apartment and I knew moving to the country would allow us to buy a big house. I was going to quit my job oh, because I knew the commute to work would take about 40 minutes. I didn’t want to spend a fortune on gas money in my truck. I sat down with my boss and I gave the guy my two week notice. He didn’t want to see me leave the company. I had been working for the HVAC repair company for the past 10 years. I was one of the original employees when the HVAC repair company started in 2010. Last year, my boss promoted me to a leadership position with the HVAC repair company. Since that time I was in charge of the entire heating division. I didn’t want to give up the job, but I knew the commute would be an expense that I would grow tired of paying. I did not expect my boss to let me go easily, but I did not expect him to give me a company car. The HVAC repair company pays for my car and the insurance. I also have a company card for gas and expenses. I couldn’t say no after the offer was made, and my wife was easily happy that I didn’t have to find something new. It’s still a long commute every day, but I honestly don’t mind the drive.
