The heat pump needed a $10 part

My wife and I moved to this neighborhood about 6 months ago and we didn’t have an HVAC provider when our heat pump stopped working. The problem occurred last week when the temperatures were very cold and frigid outside. The heat pump was working just fine until the temperatures dropped below the freezing mark. Heat pumps are notoriously known for having problems when the temperatures are below 40 degrees. These cold temperatures are rare in this part of the country, but if they can occur from time to time. I talked to the neighbor down the street and I asked the guy for some advice. He gave me the name of the HVAC provider that he uses. I called the service and I made a next-day appointment. Honestly, my wife and I expected to hear bad news. We have had one problem after another with the house and we seriously anticipated hearing bad news. I expected a bill for thousands of dollars. I was pleasantly surprised when my wife and I found out that the heat pump needed a $10 part. The service technician replaced the part and made the repair in less than 1 hour. After the heat pump was repaired, I walked down to the neighbor’s house to give the guy thanks. He gave me the name of a great company that did quality work for an affordable price. I also got the name of an experienced plumber with twenty years of experience and absolutely low prices. The recently started his own company and he offers the best rates in town.
