For the past nine weeks, I have been in charge of servicing the air purifiers that we have rented in the community.
The covid-19 virus hit the nation very hard and things have not gotten better after 10 months.
A lot of residents in the community have rental air purifiers from our company. Those machines require weekly cleaning and upkeep. It’s a terribly boring job, but someone has to do the work. I have a regular schedule and route that I follow each day. Each one of the rental air purifiers gets serviced two times throughout the week. Some of the rental air purifiers are on a Monday and Thursday schedule. Some of the rental air purifiers are on a Tuesday and Friday schedule. We don’t have any services on the weekend. We keep the weekend slots for emergency appointments and repairs. For the past nine weeks, I have been doing the same boring job day after day. I know that it is important to service the air purifiers, but right now I would be excited for an all-day boiler repair or a radiant flooring installation job. My best friend works for the same HVAC company. He has been an employee for the past six years. The guy has been here longer than me and he doesn’t have to provide air purifier detail. I guess that is one perk of staying with the company for a long time. I’ve only been with the HVAC repair company for six months and I am still at the bottom of the totem pole. I had to work all of the holidays last year.
