I have a beautiful wife of ten years and we have three children that are all in elementary school.
They play sports like hockey, teeball, and ballet on the weekend and our schedule is always hectic and busy. My wife has been very unhappy since I took a new job. The new job pays a lot better, but I have a lot more responsibilities. I used to work as an HVAC repairman. I went to work around 8 in the morning and I came home before dark. I wanted more for my life than just to repair heating and air conditioning units. I found a job working for a commercial HVAC repair company. The pay is a little bit better, but the hours are ridiculous. Ever since I started working for the commercial HVAC repair company, I haven’t had a single full day off work. The boss likes to schedule us for half days, so we can be there to help with installation jobs. My wife doesn’t want me to work every weekend, but I told her that I don’t have a choice. She told me that the new job is starting to interfere with our home life. The kids miss me too, so I don’t know what to do about this unusual problem. I really like the job and I want to grow with the business. If I tell my boss that I need to go home by five every day, he isn’t going to take me seriously or consider me for any promotion.
