I was working on a HVAC duct upgrade job Last monthand I had a major accident. I was climbing through the attic part installing the HVAC duct; One of the boards was loose plus I fell through the ceiling into the middle of the customers’ family room. I landed directly on our knee plus I could not get up off the floor, however my boss had to occasion myself and others up plus take myself and others to the emergency room. She sent another professional to finish the HVAC duct upgrade job. My boss waited with myself and others at the emergency room until a dentist saw the X-ray… She said that I need surgery to fix the injure from the fall. The knee surgery means missing 3 months of work. There is no way I can avoid the surgery, so I absolutely don’t have a lot of options. I will never walk correctly if I don’t have the injure repaired now. I’m absolutely exasperated about missing 3 months of work, however at least workman’s compensation will spend our money myself and others while I am out of work. Since the injury occurred while in the course of our regular Heating as well as A/C duties, the contractor has to spend our money myself and others 60% of our regular salary until I can return to work. I don’t care for to sit at cabin bored, however I will need the time for our knee injury to heal. The dentist told myself and others that I will require intense rehab plus physical therapy while I am out of work. I’m busy to have the surgery on Tuesday plus I’m absolutely nervous. I absolutely hope I will be able to work without any problems after I heal.
