A lot of recent complaints have been due to the problem with our furnace, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment. The two of us have known this to be an issue for lots of days, and the two of us even knew that we were going to need to raise some money to fix the Old Furnace, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment. The church patrons thought it would be a good idea to have an outdoor party to celebrate the summer and raise money for the new air conditioner. I didn’t think it was a good idea, mainly because of the hot summer temperatures. Most of the people in our congregation are older, and those folks don’t naturally prefer being outside in the sun. These are the same people who are complaining about the air conditioner in the first place. Well sure enough, both of us quickly realized that no one was up to the task of being outdoors all day. We hoped to have a lot of church patrons at our gathering, but we just ended up with some problematic heat. The whole event was a huge bust and we didn’t manage to earn a lot of money towards the new heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment. I guess we’re going to have to come up with a different way to earn money for the church heating, ventilation, and air conditioner.
