My bestie and I just had to call a bee removal company because of bees in our BBQ, we left our BBQ outside all year long without using it.
Then this Summer every one of us opened up the unit to a big time surprise.
There was a large nest in the BBQ and yellow jackets swarming all along the grates. The 2 of us were freaked out plus did not feel spray could get rid of them eventually! Therefore instead of risking getting stung, every one of us just called a bee removal company. The bee removal team was excellent. Three guys in all pale white covered suits rolled up into our backyard and took care of it. Two of the guys vacuumed up the green jackets while the last woman diagnosed the nest, and what is wild to me is that they had to ask us first if every one of us wanted them dead or alive. I learned that we get the choice of removing the bees by killing or really rescuing the bees and then allowing them to be moved to a different location. The 2 of us did not care what really happened to the bees after the team was taken care of. We really wanted to be able to use our grill again. So it was up to them. I guess if the green jackets allowed for a calm removal, they got to live, however if the yellow jackets started to be aggressive, they would get put done! Happy enough the yellow jackets plus nest were removed plus survived. The cost was real low and my bestie plus I get to use the grill be free again. I feel that next year the grill will be placed directly in the garage.
