The temperature is pretty mild where I live, except for in the winter.
When the winter hits I notice how bad my HVAC system is.
I have a furnace but it only heats the basement because it’s so old. When I first bought the house the furnace was enough, but now it’s time for me to upgrade my furnace. I also have a fireplace, but it’s pretty useless because it gets so cold. I have talked to a friend of mine that works as an HVAC technician and one thing that he won’t stop bringing up is zoned heating and cooling. I had never heard of zoned heating and cooling until I talked to him about it. He told me that the most common call he gets at his HVAC company is for appointments to install zoned heating and cooling system. He has told me that if I get zoned heating and coolingI will notice many benefits. The first benefit of upgrading my HVAC system would be that I would have air throughout the entire house and the air quality would be amazing. My HVAC technician also told me that my HVAC bill would decrease dramatically with zoned heating and cooling system. I was curious why having more AC units in my house would lead to a cheaper HVAC bill and he explained. He told me that right now with central heating and cooling the unit is having to work very hard and use a lot of power, which translates into a very high HVAC bill. When I make the switch to the new HVAC system, my units won’t have to work so hard and use a lot of power to provide me with AC!
