Last year I moved to the mountains and it was a really big difference for me.
- I hadn’t been around the mountains for many years and that was something that I was excited about when I moved.
The only thing I didn’t really think about was the cost of HVAC. I moved from an area where I almost never had to turn my AC on because it was such a mild temperature. The area I live in now I have my AC on almost everyday, which is odd because I figured the mountains would be cooler and I would need no HVAC system at all! When the winter comes I have a fireplace which makes it bearable, I know that if I turned on the furnace my bill would be insane, I have a neighbor that doesn’t have a fireplace and I have seen her HVAC bill before. I think it’s crazy that HVAC can cost so much money and I really think it should be cheaper. I have a buddy that works at an HVAC company and he always tells me how busy they are. I guess it makes sense that an HVAC company would be really busy because everyone needs HVAC. I should really start to think about starting an HVAC company, I might make a small fortune. In the meantime I am just happy that I have a fireplace and that my HVAC bill isn’t any higher. If you ever decide to move in the near future you should check out the average cost of HVAC where you live, it’s an important factor that I never thought about.
