My boyfriend is a big bear of a man.
He is around six foot six and is well over two hundred pounds of muscle.
I never thought much of his size until we moved in together. My stuff and his stuff all in one house is interesting. All my dining chairs are the wrong size for him. His knees bang into the table and his butt hangs off the seat. What is worse is his stuff for me. He got a custom made couch built for his larger size. The couch sits deeper back than a typical one. This is so he can comfortably rest his feet on the floor. My feet dangle above the floor like a little kid. The couch is also ridiculously long and takes up so much space. He loves his custom couch and I dred sitting on it. We are right now in a fight over what bed we use. I have a typical queen size bed and frame. My boyfriend’s feet hang off the edge of it and he takes up more than his fair share. What do you know, he had a custom bed and bed frame made for him as well. The bed looks like a giant’s bed. It is super wide and long. The frame around it is so intimidating. It also sits up higher than most beds are. I feel like I need a running start in order to get on it. What are we supposed to do? Neither one of us are comfortable with each other’s furniture. We are right now living with two of everything. Our house looks totally ridiculous.
