My boss sent me halfway across the country for an expo and he didn’t give me any choice on whether or not I could go or cancel.
The expo was scheduled during the same week as my 5-year anniversary with my wife.
I decided to invite her to go with me so we can spend the whole week together. I got to the hotel on Saturday morning because I had to go to a couple of meetings on sunday. My wife was going to join me on monday. When I got to the hotel on Saturday, I knew that I had to upgrade my room. The room that my boss paid for was small and it had one of those wall HVAC units that looked like it was from the 1950s. I paid extra for a larger room with better heating and cooling. It was only $40 a night to upgrade to a suite. My wife and I enjoyed the time together that week and our room was comfy and cozy. I’m glad that I paid for a larger room because it gave us a place to sleep and a place to spend time together watching television or playing games. There was also a pull out sofa in the living area. We slept on the pull-out sofa one night and watched movies. We rented two of the newest movies on the pay-per-view service and we had pizza delivered to the room. I’m really glad that I decided to ask my wife to go with me that week because it was a lot more fun to have her there.
