Ductless mini split is helpful

I am a 55 year-old woman, and I’ve been going through menopause for the past five years.

The symptoms are very unpleasant.

I suffer from frequent headaches, muscle aches and hot flashes. The hot flashes come on without any warning whatsoever and happen multiple times throughout the day. All of a sudden, my body heats up to the point that I sweat profusely. It’s uncomfortable, frustrating and sometimes embarrassing. The hot flashes occur most frequently at night. Because of this, I prefer to keep the bedroom especially cold. Since I don’t want to disrupt the rest of the family, I’ve temporarily moved into a guest bedroom. I’ve had a ductless mini split installed in that particular room. It wasn’t overly expensive and the whole system was up and running in a single afternoon. There is an outdoor compressor linked to an indoor air handler, and both components are very compact and quiet. The indoor handler is mounted up high on the wall and very unobtrusive. It supplies heating, cooling, air filtration and even helps to dehumidify. With wifi connectivity, I’m able to switch between heating and cooling and make adjustments to temperature and fan speed from an app on my phone. There is also a cordless remote to handle operation. I don’t need to get out of bed to accommodate my sudden need for intense air conditioning. Once the hot flash passes and I start to shiver, I can easily raise the temperature setting. Fortunately, the ductless heat pump is especially energy efficient so it doesn’t cost a fortune to operate it.
