I really like my job as a realtor, but sometimes it’s difficult to help certain people to find the house of their dreams.
Some people are just really hard to please.
I’ve been a realtor for years now, and let me tell you, one of the worst kinds of people to help with purchasing a house are people who are certified HVAC technicians. These people are the pickiest sorts of people on earth when it comes to the heating and cooling systems in their new homes. They literally cannot be pleased when it comes to an HVAC system in a house. A couple of weeks ago, I was helping this HVAC technician and his wife find a new home and I took them to see a brand new construction home with an amazing HVAC system. This place had a brand new high efficiency heating and cooling system with a deluxe gas fireplace and a whole home air purification system built in to run with the heating and cooling system. I thought that the HVAC technician I showed it to would be impressed with this place for sure. It seemed to me that it would be the perfect home for them, but he didn’t even bat an eye when he said that it wasn’t good enough for them. He wanted a house with a wood burning fireplace and with radiant heated flooring instead. I almost rolled my eyes at him, but I tried to remain professional. I don’t know if these people are ever going to be able to find a house at this rate!
