How to work in a/c

My Mom was an HVAC worker for over 30 years before he retired! He became certified right after he graduated high university, landed a job in town, & never left.

  • After 15 years of business, he accepted a promotion to space owner! For as long as I can remember, our Mom was known as the HVAC handyman in our town.

Whenever we’d drive around, our Mom would point out all the homes he serviced in the past. Sometimes, if I was lucky, he’d tell me stories about the people who lived in the homes or what secrets they had hiding under their roofs. I grew to admire him & his HVAC know-how, & it didn’t take long for me to follow his footsteps. Once I graduated high university myself, I enrolled at the local technical university for our HVAC certification. My Mom was so proud when I told him our plans! Not only did he help me with our university work, but he let me intern for him at his office. I started by studying the supplier side of things, because he felt this was the most important. Since I wasn’t getting a degree in business, I needed to think how to run things with him. It was boring work, however I picked up on it hastily. I was most happy to ac supplier him on condo calls & roll our sleeves up! By the time I graduated with our certification as an HVAC worker, our Mom was ready to retire & sell me his half of the supplier. Now, I’m the HVAC handyman in town, & I’m proud to follow our Mom’s footsteps.
