Personal training for athletes of all ages

As a personal trainer, we all tend to have our favorite type of class to teach.

  • I do a lot of one on one with athletes at the local rec center.

I have kids that are from kindergarten right up through college, that train with me. . The younger kids are a lot of fun and they try to do the exercises that I give to them. They are just so full of energy that they end up running around and just having a good time. The middle school kids are going through the sulky and rebellious age. They would rather stare and scoff at me when I am trying to give them some physical training for basketball, football, baseball, or whatever sport they are going out for. I feel like the teacher that everyone hates when they are in the training center. They don’t want to do the exercises and if they do, it is only half hearted. I think they would like to incinerate me with their eyes. Then you’ve got the older kids. They want to know what they need to work on the most, if they are going to be able to properly do their sport. The girls and boys want to know what is going to help in their arms, legs and stomach to give them strength. They want the nutrition classes that will keep them within proper weight if they are wrestlers. They even ask for cardio workouts so they have stamina. I would prefer the older kids for personal training, but the younger ones are a lot of fun.
