As I was growing up my parents were genuinely frugal… They did not like to spend a lot of money on crazy things, instead they invested their money & saved for their retirement, however i am cheerful they were like this, it helped teach me the value of money & in turn I don’t like to spend money on things I don’t need. I rarely go shopping for clothes & I genuinely don’t make pricey purchases unless they are genuinely needed. It is nice to not have to worry about money now, I save most of what I make & the rest just go to rent & bills. I don’t have a lot of bills either, so I feel genuinely lucky. I remember when I was younger I would watch my friends parents spend money on the craziest things. They would buy nice cars & jewelry, however my parents constantly told me those things weren’t pressing! Once afternoon I was going over to play at a friends household & when I arrived there was an Heating & Air Conditioning truck outside the house. I thought maybe they were having problems with their a/c, however instead I learned they were having radiant flooring installed. I had never heard of radiant flooring & was intrigued, and so my friends mom explained that radiant flooring was a way to heat the floors with pipes running underneath the floorboards. That is why the Heating & Air Conditioning truck was at their house. They were having the piping for the radiant floors installed. I genuinely wish my parents would get radiant flooring installed in our house, however I know they never will!
