Dad called to ask if I knew how to place an order for items he’d seen online.
He didn’t have to ask since my Amazon boxes always arrive at his door.
I told him yes and he said he was on his way to my home. I love my dad and I knew this had little to do with his order and more of checking up on me. Mom must have told him I informed her I was home not feeling too well. To be honest, I had some food the previous night and that gave me a running stomach. I took some medicine and was feeling much better. However, my running tummy wasn’t permitting me to go to work, so I called in sick. Well, dad went into panic mode, but he knew he needed a good excuse to come and stay longer. So, he came by and said he wanted to order this box of air filters from a HVAC business he’d found online. I accessed the website and began scrolling on their testimonials to see what sort of HVAC business we were dealing with. They had many impressive reviews from satisfied customers. Not only did they have an online HVAC store, but they also did residential and commercial HVAC installation, repair and maintenance. I told dad this was a good place to order the air filters from, and took him through the steps to place his order. Then, once we’d finished the business with the air filters, he began lecturing me about eating in strange places. There it was. The real reason he had showed up at my door. Still, I’m happy he still checks in and treats me like his little girl though I’m 32.
