However, a month later I absolutely needed a new control device myself due to issues with my old one. I purchased a smart control device and had it installed. It turned out to be a fantastic control unit, and I was happy with it. I had forgotten about my acquaintance getting a new control unit. Also around that time, I made more money than I had expected, so I decided to upgrade my central Heating and A/C system as well. I figured I might as well get that out of the way, since my unit was older, and absolutely was going to quit working efficiently in the next few years. I know my neighbor heard of my new smart control unit, and saw the air conditioner truck in my driveway with the new air conditioner equipment, because right after my air conditioner upgrade, she instantly had a new air conditioner upgrade herself, from the same company. Right after her new device was installed, she made sure to invite me over and really proudly show off her new equipment. I was not interested in participating in a competition, so I showed as little interest as possible.
