I count myself blessed just to be a homeowner because I absolutely didn’t think it was ever going to happen, right out of school, I got the cheapest home I could find in order to be saving for a downpayment, and let me tell you, that first home was the bare basics! I guess the heating and A/C unit in that place was twice as old as I was.
Eventually, I moved closer to work and found a basement condo that suited my needs much better.
At least I had good residential heating and A/C in that apartment. Still, as much as I saved, a down payment on a home just seemed so far in the distance. I work in public service so it’s not like I am going to get rich. At the same time, I am school educated and consider myself a professional. So it seemed like there ought to be a way to build equity instead of just paying rent; That’s just what a group of my friends and I did, we decided to pool our money together in order to own a condo and build equity. After getting the legal stuff out of the way to protect all of our interests, all we had to do was find the house. And we found a good home that is 3 stories which suited my needs perfectly. We also found that the ductless heat pumps installed on each floor also suited our individual residential heating and A/C needs perfectly. I live on the top floor as I’m the only single lady with the other 2 floors going to the couples. The ductless heat pump in my living space is amazing and I get the best quality heating and air from that thing.
