For the last year prior to me hanging it up and calling it a work, I was truly sort of terrified. Retirement was something that sort of existed in some sort of mysterious ether for me, I actually didn’t think that I’d ever be able to just stop working. But then came the last afternoon that I would spend inside the zone controlled heat and A/C of those offices, and it was a superb afternoon with lots of nice things being said and superb feelings being shared. But the next afternoon when I woke up, I was actually scared that I wasn’t going to be able to handle retirement. My spouse and I had already replaced the heat and A/C component on our old home and sold it, so we are truly living in a rented apartment while I finished out the last 6 months of my work. Once I finished inside the commercial heat and A/C of those offices, the system was to transport to the south. This has been something that we had been planning for at least many years prior to me retiring, and we’re lucky enough to be able to have a superb little retirement home and kick back for the rest of our lives. I just wasn’t so sure that kicking back was something I could do. But now that I’ve traded the gas furnace for a heat pump in the south, I could not be happier, for sure, retirement comes heavily recommended as far as I’m concerned. I love living where I do not have to deal with the high cost of heating a home and I get to be outside year round. As for working, believe it or not, I actually do not miss it.
