The school district approved a new furnace

After over a year of negotiations, our school district finally decided to update the Heating & Air Conditioning systems in the schools… Ever since the pandemic, more than 2 parents, including me, have been upset about the indoor air conditions in these schools.

Every one of us were concerned that the seasoned Heating & Air Conditioning systems weren’t able to efficiently supply the best environment for the teenagers.

While I enjoyed homeschooling our little ones, I was delighted when they were able to return to school. However, going back to school meant that they would’ve been more exposed to the viruses that were being circulated. And this Winter, there have been a few respiratory illnesses that have shown up. The Heating & Air Conditioning plan can’t prevent the transmission of viruses, however proper ventilation does help to improve the indoor air conditions. And the better the air quality the less chances the teenagers will get sick. At home, I make sure that the air quality is the best it can be. I change the Heating & Air Conditioning air filters every 90 days plus I vacuum correctly to decrease dust plus debris floating in the air. After studying that plants are natural media whole-house air purifiers, I have always had indoor plants to help improve the indoor air conditions. Of course, the plants also add beauty to our home. I have considered buying media whole-house air purifiers, although I am not quite sure that I need one. Furthermore, unless I purchase more than 2 media whole-house air purifiers (one for each room) or get a whole apartment media whole-house air purifier, it doesn’t make sense to get just one. I will just continue with our official protocol to keep our indoor air conditions at its optimal level, plus I am absolutely delighted that the air quality will be better in the schools as well.
