The size of the house determines the size of the HVAC system

I was sure I knew what size heating and air conditioning system I needed for my whole house! I had done some measurements and compared them to the FAQ’s on the heating and air conditioning dealer website.

I measured each room, and knew how numerous temperature controls I would need for the Zone Control, and where the zones should be located… When the heating and air conditioning company arrived, he told me I needed a weird size heating and air conditioning system. I finally told him I thought it depended on the size of the house, and he explained the size of the new home was a single of the measurements, then they needed to figure how much air duct there was, and if I wanted to heat the basement, attic, or garage. They simply needed to know how numerous people were in the house, and if it was a low or high traffic house. I wanted to ask why they didn’t put all that information on the FAQ page, but I didn’t want to sound stupid. When he said that he needed to know what kind of efficiency I was looking for, I had no plan for what he meant. He talked to me about efficiency ratings, and what the words efficiency rating meant. He said it wasn’t about how much energy the heating and air conditioning system used, but how much it expended. If I wanted something that worked efficiently and with higher efficiency in heating, AC, and energy, it would be a bit more lavish, and I would need a more accurate measurement. I told him I wanted to afford the fuel, and get as much heat and A/C out of the heating and air conditioning system as I possibly could.
