I am going to have to crawl in mom’s attic to work on some HVAC duct later this night when things get a bit cooler outside.
- I think that either the rats got in and chewed it all up or it just fell apart from the heat.
Either way, I am going to go up there once I think ready for it and try to get the job done. I am a certified Heating and Air Conditioning specialist and have been working on HVAC duct for various years now, so this job should be simple and done in no time. It is Summer now and it is entirely tepid out, so doing this repair job is going to have to be done in the middle of the night or I may die of heat stroke up there. I am not sure what the temperature gets up to in the attic here but I bet it is anywhere around the 140F range, but i think a lot of the a/c’s cold air is going up there when she runs the Heating and Air Conditioning plan to cool down the house. But it doesn’t entirely cool it down there because the crawl space doesn’t have any vents in it and just gets way too hot. The cool air from the Heating and Air Conditioning plan may come out some up there however it isn’t enough to entirely cool it down at all. I will go up there in a couple of hours with our flashlight and BB gun in case there are any rats that need to be removed. Wish myself and others luck on this a single!
