Every year, my coworkers and I have to take classes on special HVAC equipment.
Sometimes these classes are held locally and sometimes we have to travel to the city or even another state. Last year we got brand new study books and they covered eight different types of heating and AC equipment. We were supposed to study the book so we could be ready when the seminar started the following month. The seminar was actually held close to home. I was happy that I didn’t have to go anywhere for a couple of days. I hate having to leave the house, because then my girlfriend is alone with the kids. Five kids is a lot for her to handle alone for several days in a row. I spent several weeks studying the informational packet and booklet. My girlfriend helped me study too. She went through the book and made up a question and study answer page for me. After I studied, she would quiz me every single night until I knew every single fact, statistic, and nugget of information that was in the book. When the classes started, I knew most of the information that was presented. At the end of the week, I got the highest score on the test. I only missed one question, and I think that the question was worded in a strange way. I was the only person in the class that only missed one of the questions and I won a $250 Visa gift card for having the highest score in the HVAC study class.
