I woke up in the middle of the study room floor, half naked and covered in something sticky that I hoped was spilled wine.
I had genuinely little recollection of the previous two days, however my new home was a wreck and I vaguely recalled throwing a celebration for a few friends, after the fourth round of drinks and the minute cannabis blunt, everything got absolutely hazy.
The next thing I believe it’s two days later, I’m as dehydrated and hung over as I’ve ever been, and I’m kneeling on a pile of broken plastic pieces. I suddenly discovered these plastic pieces were the housing for my smart temperature control, which had been ripped off the wall and smashed. Had I done that to my own temperature control, and if so, why had I done it? I called my neighbor Ben, who I seem to recall came by to visit at some point, and asked if she knew what happened to my temperature control; Ben started laughing, because she couldn’t know I didn’t remember what had happened! Apparently I started giving voice commands to the temperature control, and then got annoyed when it didn’t respond. This is a smart temperature control, however it has never had the functionality of using voice commands, so I don’t believe why I did that. At a single point I told Ben that I would “teach the temperature control a lesson it wouldn’t forget” and then all of us punched it many times… Now I need to find the money for a new temperature control, and get a professional out here to service the damage to my wall.
