That air conditioning has to be on to provide humidity balance

Okay, so I had no idea that the heat pump actually balances the humidity level inside the house. As it’s my first time owning a home, there is plenty to learn. I just bought a nice little starter house with 2 bedrooms and a big yard for a garden. The HVAC equipment was replaced as well as the flooring along with new kitchen appliances before moving in. The old HVAC was just not even worse salvaging. The former owner didn’t want to deal with replacing a HVAC unit so I got a big incentive to do it myself with a big reduction in price. This actually allowed me to get the sort of great residential HVAC that I really wanted anyway. It worked out great because in this region, you need HVAC cooling in a very big way. There are plenty of folks who start the air conditioning in a March and if for sure can run through October. That’s more HVAC cooling that I care to use but that’s the sort of heat and humidity we are dealing with here. What I didn’t realize was the HVAC cooling process also balances the humidity level inside the house. This fact led to the a whole lot of mold mitigation when I left for a month long trip. I simply turned the HVAC off. Since I was going to be a way I didn’t think that there would be any need for HVAC cooling. Little did I know that this then offered the perfect environment for mold and mildew to grow. I came home to a real problem. So make sure you keep that air conditioning on to avoid the mold.
