Picking ductless HVAC over central air

It’s just so nice to finally have such great weather back.

And the great thing about October is that it’s just the first of many more months before the heat and humidity of summer is back. My wife and I took a reasoned risk with our old heat pump this past summer. It was a calculated risk but it was a big risk anyway. When the HVAC technician was out to do the spring air conditioning tune up, he told us our heat pump was on its last legs. While the HVAC professional couldn’t exactly predict the end of that heat pump it would be sooner rather than later. My wife and I both wanted to try and save money to replace the HVAC equipment. So we chose to take that calculated risk in hopes that our heat pump would last one more summer. For sure, the summer months are the most work when it comes to a heat pump. Our winters just don’t require much in the form of heating. Of course, we didn’t want to roll the dice on having no heat if we needed it this winter. So we are just about ready to have a new heating and cooling equipment installed. However, we’re changing it up a bit. Instead of replacing a heat pump with another central air conditioning system, we went with ductless heat pump. We have a ductless multi split system for our residential HVAC. It’s a series of ductless heat pumps that provide quality heating and air to our home. I’ve been very impressed with the ductless heat pumps. I think I prefer them over the central air conditioning.
