This past week at my art class, the room was just entirely too hot.
I don’t know if it’s because we were running the kiln a lot or what, but it was just too hot to be in there.
Usually the temperature in the class does not bother me, so I tend to think that it was not the heat coming from the kiln. We always run in every class, and usually the temperature of the room is just fine. I think that maybe the fact that the temperature outside was really cold made it feel warmer inside of the art room. We had a pretty big heat wave last week and the temperature outside was much warmer than it usually is this time of year. I think that maybe at the art school, they have the thermostat settings programmed for the time of year. Maybe the fact that the weather is hotter than usual contributes to the fact that the room was so hot last week. I kept waiting for the air conditioning system to kick on, but it never did. Maybe it’s just because the smart thermostat system that they have there knows that it is the wrong time of year to be running the air conditioning. I know that the weather is usually cooling down by now, and maybe that’s what they had planned for. I hope that somebody overrode the system and turned on the air conditioning for this week, because the heat wave is continuing and the temperature outside is still really hot. I don’t want a replay of last week.
