This past week at our art class, the room was just truly too hot, I don’t know if it’s because we were running the kiln a lot or what, it was just too hot to be in there, and usually the temperature in the class does not bother me, so I tend to think that it was not the heat coming from the kiln, we constantly run in every class, and usually the temperature of the room is just fine. I think that maybe the fact that the temperature outside was particularly cold made it feel warmer inside of the art room. We had a pretty big heat wave last month and the temperature outside was much warmer than it usually is this time of year. I think that maybe at the art school, they have the thermostat settings programmed for the time of year. Maybe the fact that the weather is hotter than regular contributes to the fact that the room was so hot last week. I kept waiting for the air conditioner to kick on, but it never did. Maybe it’s just because the smart thermostat plan that they have there knows that it is the wrong time of year to be running the air conditioner. I think that the weather is usually cooling down by now, and maybe that is what they had planned for. I hope that somebody overrode the plan and turned on the air conditioner for this week, because the heat wave is continuing and the temperature outside is still particularly hot. I don’t want a replay of last week.
