I thought I had seen it all with Heating, Ventilation, and A/C, however I was wrong; In the fifteen years since I first started as an Heating, Ventilation, and A/C serviceman, I had encountered several sticky situations with air conditioning system units; With most of them being outside, several people will get paranoid about people doing disfigure to the A/C unit, and this was the 1st time that I had seen an A/C device that was inside a locked cage.
I had never seen an A/C device locked down.
There was a note on the door telling me to repair the A/C unit, however not a single person was there to unlock the gate. I thought maybe they had not locked the lock, however I was wrong. I went around to the front of the lake house where I found the note, to find if they had left a key anywhere close by, however all that it got me nearly arrested, however apparently, the neighbors thought I was trying to find a way into the house, and called the police on me. When the police officers showed up, I showed him my Heating, Ventilation, and A/C ID, and took him back to the exterior air conditioning system unit. After showing him the note, he pursed his lips to keep from giggling, and he had the same reaction as I did about the cage around the exterior air conditioning system unit. He asked me where I found the note and walked with me up to the porch so that he could check for a key to the lock. He offered to get a crowbar out of his motor coach so that the people I was with and I could open up the gate, however I told him I would contact the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C corporation. All of us would reschedule all the repairs for when the homeowners were at the house.
