I do a lot of entertaining out there and nothing ruins a celebration more than the unpredictable weather
Everyone who visits my home says that the best part is the screened in porch. It’s not an average porch that’s small enough to be a single room! No, my screened in porch spans the entire backside of our home with views of the lake. Instead of having one part with chairs to enjoy the space, it’s certainly sectioned off into multiple different areas! There’s a dining part with a long table for entertaining, a small seating part with rocking chairs and a bench swing, and an entertainment part with a granite fireplace and a large couch. As you can imagine, it’s one of the most used areas in our house, but even though the screened in porch spans the backside of our home and it has incredible views, it needed one more thing to make it comfortable. I had multiple large ceiling fans installed along with multiple fan misters that hang from the corners of the ceiling. In total, these 6 fans kept the porch cool while both of us were in some of the hottest weeks of the summertime. I also bought a single oil furnace that can move around. The fireplace puts off a lot of natural heat, but the oil furnace is for special possibilities where more heat is needed, then both the fans and oil furnace were essential for temperature control. I do a lot of entertaining out there and nothing ruins a celebration more than the unpredictable weather. It’s nice knowing that I can cool things down or heat them up with ease.
