Getting the right thermostat

My sister and I moved into a home together after our parents retired and moved to another state, and it wasn’t certainly in our plans to move in like that, but both of our leases ended at the same time and we wanted to save money.

The home we moved into was super cute but needed a few renovations.

The building owner was more than happy to help us out, especially when it came to the a/c. We both are particular about having a/c because our family just tends to run hot, then since the building owner was upgrading the air conditioning system, he asked for our input on a few things. I had never had the opportunity to choose a thermostat before, and had no idea that there were so many different kinds, but however, choosing the thermostat for us wasn’t as difficult as I thought it would be. The we decided we didn’t care for a SMART thermostat, which left us with digital thermostats or dial thermostats. Digital thermostats are easy to program and simple to see from across the room, so we opted for that one! Dial thermostats are a bit too old school for me, and I was nervous that just walking by and brushing up against the dial would completely change the temperature without anyone realizing. The building owner helped us with that, and numerous different things around the house, so moving in with my sister has been different, but it’s honestly been certainly nice to come together after so many years apart. I hope that we don’t drive each other crazy!
