Getting A/C for the shed

When my husband decided to purchase a shed and make it his person cave, I agreed, however with a loft full of kids and no place to call his own, he needed a space that he could sneak away to, but unfortunately, there were no extra rooms or crawl spaces for him inside the actual house, which meant that he needed to build something on the outside.

  • We didn’t have the budget for a full renovation that included an addition to the house, so we started thinking about other options, however it was my husband’s idea to purchase a pre-built shed and make it his own.

I was skeptical at first, however the more my husband explained it to me, the more excited he got, then he wanted to add drywall to the walls, peel and stick flooring, and a giant TV where he could watch the game. I was on board, but I did have one concern. I didn’t know my husband would be comfortable enough in a shed no matter how pretty it looked on the inside, and although the weather was moderate here, there were still days where the temperature reached an extreme. In order to get the most use out of the new shed, he needed a portable A/C unit; The A/C unit would keep the air cool while circulating. There was also an air filter in most portable A/C units that would trap unwanted dust and debri. My hubby loved the idea of adding a portable A/C unit and he thought it would make the space more enjoyable.
