At this hotel that we are staying at, they are trying to make everything green and eco-friendly.
- I mean, I know that that is a good thing in the long run, but when you are trying to live in this hotel for three days while you’re at a baseball tournament, the eco-friendly air conditioning just is not up to par.
The problem with this type of air conditioning is the fact that you have to keep pushing a button to get it to come on. The A/C comes on and runs for a couple of hours, and then in order to save energy, it turns off again! This type of thing might be okay during the day when you’re at home or if you have it at work when you have to be there and alert, but when you’re in a hotel for something like a baseball tournament, it doesn’t work very well at all. I feel like it would be a better set up if there were some way to keep the A/C running for longer periods of time. Even if you could just set it to run for four or five hours, that would be different. The two hour thing is what annoyed me. Even when we were going to sleep at night, we would end up waking up in a sweat because the A/C would have turned off while we were sleeping. I understand the intent behind this type of air conditioning set up and I even applaud the idea behind it. I just don’t like having it in my hotel room!
